"Philip Dudleigh Walker, the founder of the firm, commenced business in Sydney in the late 1920’s. The firm traded under the name of P.D. Walker until the 1950’s when Peter Dallas Walker, the son of Philip Dudleigh, entered the business.

The name was changed to Peter D. Walker & Co in 1972 when Brent McLauchlan, who had been employed by the firm since 1962, joined Peter Walker as a partner. "
