"Terry Kearney & Co was established in 1986 when, drawing upon 20 years of experience, Terry departed his role as a partner of a North Brisbane accountancy firm to establish his own practice. The practice was initially based at Brisbanes Toombul Shopping Center, however expansion required that the firm relocate to Wavell Heights, taking up residence in a former Commonwealth Bank building.

Success over the following eleven years meant that Terry Kearney & Co also outgrew this premises and in 2002, the firm relocated to its current address at Finance House on Gympie Road at Kedron.
